Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider Pain Management/Wound Clinic

University Hospitals is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pain Management and Wound Clinics team. As an APP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clinics.

Job Summary:
  • Perform patient assessments and assign diagnoses based on recorded data and current research.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
  • Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, and self.
  • Demonstrate progressive leadership and effective management.
  • Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs.
  • Advance own professional development through self-directed learning and continuing education.
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated competence as a practitioner.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area.
  • Computers and selected office equipment.
Education/Expertise:
  • Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.
  • Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
