Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider-Clinic and Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UH Geneva Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Pain Management and Wound Clinics.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will perform patient assessments, assign diagnoses, and develop treatment plans in accordance with current scientific research and standards of care. They will also collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments and assign diagnoses based on recorded data and current research
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, and self
  • Provide education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs
  • Advance own professional development through self-directed learning and continuing education
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated competence as a practitioner
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area
  • Computers and selected office equipment
Education/Expertise:

The ideal candidate will have a Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice, or a completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.

Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification include BLS, ACLS (preferred), Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio, and Current APRN license to practice in Ohio, or BLS, ACLS (preferred), NCCPA-Certified, and DEA license.

Physical Demands:

The successful candidate will be required to stand frequently, walk frequently, sit rarely, lift frequently 50 lbs, carry frequently 50 lbs, push frequently 50 lbs, pull frequently 50 lbs, climb occasionally 50 lbs, balance occasionally, stoop frequently, kneel frequently, crouch frequently, crawl occasionally, reach frequently, handle frequently, grasp frequently, feel constantly, talk constantly, hear constantly, repetitive motions constantly, eye/hand/foot coordination constantly.

Travel Requirements:

The position requires approximately 10% travel.
