Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level 2 to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Neurodiagnostic Lab, you will be responsible for performing standard and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures with limited supervision. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical assistance and training to junior technologists and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard and complex Neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG recordings, video EEGs, and evoked potentials.
  • Utilize the International 10-20 Electrode Placement system to measure, mark, and apply electrodes to predetermined positions on the patient's scalp.
  • Adapt methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on patient history, clinical observations, and EEG findings.
  • Compile data on patient neurologic status and clinical history, and complete technical and professional bills upon completion of studies.
  • Provide supportive patient care and detailed observations of clinical manifestations during seizures and other patient emergency situations.
  • Maintain all neurodiagnostic equipment in good working order, inspect for malfunctions, and report to manager/designee for major repairs.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through annual participation in educational programs, in-services, workshops, and online CME.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in electroneurodiagnostic technology.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
  • American Board of Registration for Encephalographic Technologists Certification - R.EEG.
  • Certificate in Neurodiagnostic Technology.
