Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription dispensing, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate records.
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, adhering to Walgreens service traits and interpersonal habits.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers, identifying their needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills to accurately fill prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Prefer good computer skills to efficiently process prescriptions and maintain accurate records.
