Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lab Care Technician to join our team at Children's Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing blood collections, monitoring patients, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens using knowledge of laboratory techniques
  • Monitor patients for unexpected reactions and respond to emergency situations
  • Provide customer service and interact with patients, families, and employees in a pleasant and efficient manner
  • Enter information and test orders into the laboratory computer system
  • Perform other duties as required, including waived laboratory testing and specimen processing
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • Phlebotomy certificate/license is not required, but preferred
  • 1-year pediatric phlebotomy experience and/or one year of experience in a pediatric clinical laboratory setting, and/or graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program
