About the Role

Groups Recover Together, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our outpatient addiction medicine provider, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive treatment for individuals struggling with opioid addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the treatment team and serve as an expert on addiction and recovery, coordinating decisions about patient care.
  • Manage a schedule and caseload that supports the needs of the office and region, while developing your clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver a holistic clinical model based on counseling, medication, and community.
  • Lead 2-3 group therapy sessions per week, building recovery skills and fostering community through our outlined curriculum.
  • Document patient progress, using outcome measures and client feedback to inform treatment decisions.
  • Engage in community relations activities, promoting Groups Recover Together, Inc. and its mission.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active behavioral health licensure, including AADC, LPC, LICSW, or associate level status with the ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
  • Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in patient success.
  • Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
