The Equipment Repair Specialist II plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional repair services on machinery, ensuring that customer requirements are met with efficiency, care, and promptness, thereby maximizing the value of the services provided.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute assigned tasks in accordance with Caterpillar Equipment Repair Labor Guidelines (ERLG), maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures established by WCAT.
- Accurately complete necessary documentation and access required databases for job completion (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW).
- Comply with contamination control and HAZMAT regulations.
- Efficiently remove and install components, disassemble and reassemble machinery parts, and conduct inspections with minimal oversight.
- Apply Cat reusability standards effectively.
- Timely submit parts and core returns with the appropriate documentation.
- Conduct warranty downloads of ECM.
- Test and confirm the proper functioning of all repairs and adjustments.
- Utilize general failure analysis techniques to achieve accurate diagnostics.
- Complete all Level I & Level II training assignments proficiently and on schedule.
- Provide mentorship to fellow Rental team members.
- In-depth knowledge of specific CAT product lines, including natural gas engines and electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, as well as Preventative Maintenance Services.
- Basic understanding of gas/diesel engines and EPG systems, along with troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, air tools, precision measuring instruments, laptops, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment.
- Ability to generate accurate service quotes.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- (Preferred) Associate's degree or certification in diesel technology or a related mechanical field.
- Successful completion of Work Steps assessment is required.
- Certification will be obtained prior to operating forklifts and/or man lifts.

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.
