Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy earth-moving equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on earthmoving equipment
Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
Work efficiently to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly manner
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Account for all time on a timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Requirements:
4 years of experience performing service repairs on earth-moving equipment
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of construction and earth-moving equipment
Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; associate's degree preferred
