Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Technician to join our team at a large, stable company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy earth-moving equipment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on earthmoving equipment
  • Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Work efficiently to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly manner
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Account for all time on a timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Requirements:
  • 4 years of experience performing service repairs on earthmoving equipment
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of construction and earthmoving equipment
  • Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; associate's degree preferred
