Transformative Network Engineer Opportunity

Seize the chance to revolutionize PPPL's network infrastructure and propel your career forward. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cutting-edge network architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable, high-availability network architectures that meet business objectives and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement next-generation network infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide network engineering support for infrastructure and customer-facing applications, including dynamic routing, resiliency, and quality of service.
  • Assume overall responsibility for remote access VPN systems, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Provide primary network support for voice over IP (VOIP) telecommunications systems, ensuring high-quality call delivery.
  • Evaluate new technologies and offerings, completing proof-of-concept testing and analysis to inform management decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field, such as programming, computer science, or engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on wireless standards, protocols, and equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration of border gateway routing protocol (BGP) and experience with Palo Alto Global Protect VPNs.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
