Job Title: Wireless Network Engineer

Princeton University's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and troubleshooting wireless networks, as well as continuously improving the University's wireless network infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, deployment, and testing of wireless network infrastructure and systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and roll-out to production.
  • Collaborate with other wireless engineers to oversee the University's 12,000+ wireless access points on its New Jersey campus and ensure the network's availability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and review high-density wireless designs for new and existing buildings using site survey and design tools, such as Ekahau.
  • Perform wireless infrastructure code upgrades and associated testing prior to and after upgrades.
  • Drive and manage ongoing wireless network enhancement efforts that require communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership in delivering advanced wireless networking and monitoring services to the University community.
