We are seeking a skilled Exterior Building Restoration Specialist to join our team at Oklahoma State University. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for preserving the beauty and integrity of our historic university buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tuck pointing brick and stonework to ensure the structural integrity of our buildings
  • Removing and replacing aged caulking and backer rod at expansion and stone joints
  • Cleaning all windows and glass door fronts to maintain a safe and visually appealing environment
  • Performing brick and stone removal, concrete repair, and operating a high-pressure washing system to clean the exterior of our buildings
  • Working on roofs of varying heights and pitches, as well as using ladders, scaffolding, or high-lift equipment
  • Regularly standing, lifting, bending, stooping, lifting above shoulders, and carrying weights of 50 pounds or more
Requirements
  • High School/GED with four years of prior successful work experience in the building trades or technical field
  • Two years post-secondary education in building trades or technical field with two years of prior successful maintenance experience
  • A valid driver's license for the operation of an OSU vehicle
  • Ability to lift, climb, and maneuver 40-foot ladders
  • Ability to become proficient in the use of 'AiM' computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software and mobile technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical education in building trades with four years of prior successful maintenance experience
  • Experience in power washing, tuck pointing brick and stonework, removing and replacing aged caulking and backer rod at expansion and stone joints, removing and replacing aged caulking around all windows and entry doors, cleaning all windows and glass door fronts
  • Brick, and stone removal, and concrete repair
  • Dryvit EFIS-patch and repair
  • Experience in making necessary roof, gutter, downspout repairs using a wide variety of roofing materials
