Job Title: BIM SpecialistAt Anning-Johnson Company, we're seeking a skilled BIM Specialist to join our team. As a BIM Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of construction by creating, managing, and coordinating building information models (BIM) throughout various project stages.
Key Responsibilities:- BIM Modeling: Utilize BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit) to craft detailed 3D models based on architectural and engineering plans, ensuring precision and consistency.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Work with the project team to unify design disciplines, resolve conflicts, and enhance project efficiency through clash detection.
- Model Maintenance: Keep BIM models current, reflecting design changes and as-built conditions while adhering to standards.
- Visualization and Presentation: Create compelling 2D/3D visuals, renderings, and walkthroughs for design reviews and stakeholder communication.
- BIM Coordination Meetings: Attend project meetings, offer technical support, and share BIM knowledge to boost team capabilities.
- Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with BIM technology trends, share insights, and provide training to colleagues.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure BIM models meet project requirements and standards, addressing errors and maintaining accuracy.
- A.S. degree or higher in architecture, drafting, construction management, or related field.
- Proficiency in BIM software tools like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD.
- Strong grasp of building systems, construction methods, and architectural/engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and documents.
- Exceptional attention to detail and complex model handling skills.
- Effective problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards and BIM protocols.
- Previous experience in BIM modeling or related roles is a plus.
