Job Summary:

As a Senior Endoscopy Registered Nurse at the University of New Mexico, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned patients within the Endoscopy department. You will offer clinical leadership and relief charge duties as required, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, assisting with tests and procedures, and delivering safe direct care to patients. You will also participate in patient safety initiatives and encourage patient participation in their own care.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients within the Endoscopy department
Offer clinical leadership and relief charge duties as required
Ensure a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families
Administer medication, assist with tests and procedures, and deliver safe direct care to patients
Participate in patient safety initiatives and encourage patient participation in their own care

Requirements:

Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
No minimum experience required
Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
Current RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
CPR for Healthcare/BLS required, PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC certifications (preferred)

Working Conditions:

Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
Significant hazards: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE
