This is an ongoing opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment, providing exceptional care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses with patient evaluations, management, and treatment during office visits.
- Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas, promoting patient satisfaction and comfort.
- Perform pre-visit vital signs, weights, blood pressure, pulses, weights, and temperatures, as well as document patient information in the medical record.
- Review and document patient medications, update immunizations, and organize medications for refill and documentation.
- Assist patients with specimen collection, processing, and phlebotomy, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
- Perform PCOT, EKG tracing, and visual acuity testing as indicated by practice procedures.
- Assist with patient examination, including gynecological exams, LARCs, and other procedures.
- Escort patients to the Emergency Room, Radiology, or other locations as needed for their care.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and/or previous comparable work experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy – Pediatrics preferred.
- Associates degree preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
