Key Responsibilities:- Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble die components according to specifications, ensuring all parts fit correctly and are in proper working order.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Use precision measuring tools to inspect die components for defects or damage, and perform quality checks to ensure die components meet specified tolerances and standards.
- Technical Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, and operate machinery and equipment used in the die assembly process.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality, and participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years practical experience required.
- Surface grinding and stamping press experience preferred.
- Must have successfully completed Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in part fixturing and inspection preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Must possess knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 35 pounds with control and unassisted).
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, stopping, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to raise arms above shoulders, use hands to feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as, earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
