Job Title: Instrumentation Controls Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Controls Specialist to join our team at Primary Recruiting Services. As an Instrumentation Controls Specialist, you will play a critical role in the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of electric energy by performing various power plant instrumentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assessment, calibration, repair, and installation of power plant control devices.
- Troubleshoot systems controls and malfunctions in various devices, analog and digital, including Distributed Control & Programmable Logic Controller systems.
- Utilize available documentation, drawings, and schematics to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Obtain/order necessary materials to support the maintenance of plant instruments and controls.
- Perform preventative maintenance and provide feedback on follow-up work and maintenance program improvement.
- Perform job preparation and layout utilizing vendor data, drawings, and other available information.
- Competent and responsible use of hand and power tools.
- Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to laws and regulations.
- Provide training for other facility personnel in identified maintenance tasks.
- Efficiently use computer technology to operate work management systems, access work orders, input historical data, report time, and order parts.
- Efficiently use computer technology to maintain, troubleshoot, and update devices, controllers, and equipment.
- Employee performs in a leadership capacity, including assigning, supervising, and taking responsibility for the work of other classifications.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
- Strong knowledge of power plant instrumentation and controls.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
