Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, this position is essential for managing field operations and leading a dedicated team of Superintendents. The role requires a commitment to uphold the company's standards in safety, scheduling, and quality, with an expected travel requirement of 20-25%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and embody the core values and ethics of the organization, demonstrating integrity and loyalty to both the company and its clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations as per company policies and OSHA standards on all job sites.
  • Oversee field operations by directing Superintendents, ensuring project safety, and aligning the right Superintendent with specific project needs.
  • Communicate effectively with company Executives regarding personnel performance and project progress.
  • Promptly report any issues to Project Management Teams to facilitate timely and effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Superintendents, Project Management Teams, Executives, and Clients.
  • Develop a high-performing team of Superintendents through effective supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Schedule and coordinate assignments for Superintendents to optimize project execution.
  • Implement and oversee training programs for Superintendents, including the company’s safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to and promote all guidelines, policies, and procedures set forth by the organization.
  • Assist the Human Resources department in hiring qualified candidates, conducting annual performance reviews, and managing disciplinary actions as necessary.

Daily and Weekly Duties:

  • Participate in and contribute to regular staff meetings.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to various projects, both local and remote.
  • Maintain and update the Superintendent Manifest to ensure accurate staffing records.
  • Provide staffing requirements for Superintendents to the Director of Construction and Human Resources.
  • Engage in the recruitment process for new Superintendents.
  • Administer disciplinary actions or terminations for Superintendents when required.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for Superintendents and set 30/60/90-day goals as needed.
  • Review project plans daily to identify potential issues, ensure quality control, and maintain construction schedules.
  • Support Project Management Teams in addressing Superintendent and subcontractor challenges and delays.
  • Conduct final inspections as necessary to ensure project completion.
  • Hold Superintendents accountable for providing timely project updates, maintaining open communication with Project Management Teams, and adhering to construction schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction standards and best practices, including both site and vertical construction methods.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to address project-specific challenges.
  • Exhibit attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Show a proven history of effective verbal and written communication skills within team-oriented environments.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and job reporting software.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to various job sites across the country.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
