Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to join our team at Lilac Ridge LLC, focusing on supporting youth aged 7-18 with behavior problems within the foster care system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement behavior management plans tailored to each youth's needs, in collaboration with case managers, social workers, and other professionals.
  • Transport clients to individual and group counseling sessions to help youth develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and address trauma-related issues.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and recreational programs that promote social skills development and positive peer interactions.
  • Collaborate with foster families, biological families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavior management techniques and support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress notes, incident reports, and treatment plans in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of documented experience working with children or youth in one of or a combination of the following settings: state licensed in-home or facility-based daycare, school setting, mental health hospital, juvenile rehabilitation facility, detention center, law enforcement, or corrections, child placing agency, residential care program, or as a licensed foster parent, conducting supervised visits, or working as staff directly with children or families in a community service organization.
  • OR Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field, or 2 years of completed coursework toward a degree.
