Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities by performing patient check-in/check-out functions, scheduling appointments, and coordinating patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient check-in/check-out functions, including obtaining and inputting accurate scheduling and registration data.
  • Coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to requests and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and billing data.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of healthcare or related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and electronic medical records.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures.
