Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer I to join our team at Penn State Health. As a key member of our pediatric cardiology diagnostics team, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies under the supervision of a sonographer from a more senior category or a physician.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound studies to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions in pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures to assess cardiac function and structure
  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • ARDMS or CCI registration or registry eligibility
  • BLS certification within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatrics experience preferred for Pediatric Echocardiography and non-academic setting
  • TEE experience preferred for non-academic setting
