Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Thin Film Process Development Engineer to join our team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and characterizing thin film materials and processes to support the advancement of our memory and storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply materials characterization techniques such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, resistance measurements, and ellipsometry to characterize materials and make recommendations on vectors to improve materials performance towards program goals.
  • Collaborate and share internal and proprietary knowledge with equipment engineers, manufacturing engineers, integration engineers, and others to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Own the transfer of new films and technology developments to manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality production.
  • May telecommute from home 2 days per week, depending on business needs.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of novel materials development and characterization, statistical process control, and electrical characterization of devices.
