About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wet Process Development Principal Engineer to join our groundbreaking DRAM research and development team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in evaluating new hardware platforms and process chemistries, performing fundamental research, chemistry development, and generating intellectual property relevant to the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Innovation: Contribute to high-level innovation feasibility studies, regularly solving sophisticated problems before they become issues. Key challenges include vapor/plasma etching, selective wet etching, surface prep, and high aspect ratio drying technologies.
  • Technical Focus: Have the vision and technical skills to relate technologies and business plans of the group and other group's projects. Actively build Micron intellectual property, and be aware of external technical advancements substantiated with an understanding of the state-of-the-art.
  • Impact Results: Lead Micron IP into successful technical readiness and transition to program integration.
  • Influence: Regularly drive product planning/roadmap, platform features, and functional area strategy. Successfully convince management to initiate new projects.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams, technology focus teams, etc. Demonstrate independence and initiative in proactively developing and applying new skills in the most critical current or future domains.
  • Mentorship: Mentor others within their technical subject area to achieve high levels of technical leadership. Share knowledge with others, proven through mentoring, coaching, presenting, etc.
  • Consultation and Influence: Regularly interact with senior management to provide consultation and influence technical and strategic decisions. Craft alliances with customers.
Requirements
  • MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields.
  • >7 years of experience working as a process development engineer in a R&D environment preferred.
  • Prior DRAM experience in wet etch, cleans, vapor/plasma etch & surface treatments is preferred.
