Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Pad Electrician III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safe operation of our electrical systems, including major systems such as HVAC, electrical, communication, and plumbing. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for our facilities and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs of electrical systems, including hands-on work and coordination with outside system suppliers.
  • Maintain and improve our electrical systems, including the transition to a more robust computer-based maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate with project leads for the mobilization and demobilization of equipment and provide general technical and mechanical support as needed.
  • Source, order, and confirm receipt of materials to support project completion.
  • Contribute to facilities team awareness of infrastructure and system status by highlighting discrepancies and areas of increased risk.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Blue Facilities and in coordination with other company stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant practical experience in launch pad or aerospace electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial facility infrastructure and electrical systems.
  • Electrical Journeyman License is required.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety policies and procedures.
  • Technical skills, innovative mindset, and flexible attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo is highly desired.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
