Instrumentation and Controls Specialist

Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our launch vehicle development team, you'll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation and controls used in various spaceflight systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and maintain instrumentation and controls systems on our launch vehicles
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and controls systems
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop and implement new instrumentation and controls systems
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure timely completion of projects
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls in a related field (aerospace, industrial, or oil and gas)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to closely follow electrical diagrams and schematics
- Ability to read, understand, and use technical manuals
- Mechanical aptitude, use of hand tools, and safe working practices
- Ability to lift 50lbs, work at medium heights, climb ladders, stairs, etc.
- Familiarity with PLCs, installing and troubleshooting instrumentation to include valve positioners, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and other general electronics
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as be a self-starter
- Pre-job planning, layout, and ultimately a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- 7+ years of experience building/maintaining launch pads
- Working knowledge of propellants, hazardous and class division/groups, NEC, and UL 508a
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, telescopic boom lifts
- Associates degree in electronics/technical field
