Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate business needs into actionable data insights and participate in business requirements gathering.
- Oversee the technical execution of development tasks to ensure solutions add real business value, data architecture is aligned with business goals, and the design is consistent with the enterprise architecture strategy.
- Manage support tasks and ensure root causes are understood and resolved.
- Have hands-on knowledge of all technical aspects of data management, including master data, data governance, and transactional data.
- Embrace key, modern technology trends in data and help the development teams leverage those technologies and provide business value.
- Support and disseminate enterprise data management strategies and drive the execution of these strategies with stakeholders.
- Be a major contributor to the long-term strategy for data ecosystem/platform.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders from a variety of departments.
- Work with the functional groups responsible for managing data to ensure consistency, uniformity, and accuracy across company standards.
- Evaluate issues in the governance of enterprise data, including problem definition, root cause analysis, and opportunity and solution recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Min 10 to 15 years of experience in analytics and enterprise data management strategies.
- Min 5 to 7 years of direct people management experience required.
- Solid experience in analytics and enterprise data management strategies.
- Strong knowledge of modern technologies in analytics & data science space.
- Demonstrated sense of logic, creativity, decision making & problem resolution.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and provide high-quality solutions under pressure, operate with minimal supervision.
- Experience driving analytics products proactively by partnering with business and volunteering thought leadership.
Must Have Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment and to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage a cross-functional team.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Strong grasp of SQL, data management (example: Snowflake, Informatica or dbt) and visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI).
- Strong grasp of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), best practices and strategies.
- Familiarity with data science models and statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
- Knowledgeable in queries, visualization and presenting findings.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Experience working in an agile team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, data storytelling, and technical presentations.
- Bachelor's in computer science, Information Management or Data Science.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's Degree Preferred.
- Project management skills.
- Previous experience in SAP S4 Hana data stack such as Data Sphere, BTP (business transformation platform), SAC (SAP Analytics Console), SAP MDM is highly desirable.
