Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Storm Industries, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class demand and supply planning, forecasting, and SIOP process execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply planning strategies to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, supply base, quality, and engineering, to ensure seamless execution of supply planning processes.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential obstacles to meeting customer orders, implementing countermeasures as needed.
  • Provide timely order status and customer quote analysis to customer service, sales, and shipping teams.
  • Schedule purchases and ensure timely receipt of inventory.
  • Review and delay or cancel existing purchase orders as needed.
  • Assist with purchasing product to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Ensure SIOP metrics are met, including on-time delivery, inventory turns, supplier quality, etc.
  • Obtain and incorporate feedback on performance to plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management/Manufacturing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning and forecast utilization, including extensive analytical work and knowledge of MRP.
  • Good experience with ERP systems and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Exposure to requirements for Asia/Middle East and international rules with respect to export of inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional-level ability with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP software, Great Plains, and RockySoft an asset.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience with ISO an asset.
  • CPIM Certification or equivalent Inventory & Production Management Certificate.
  • Project Management certification from PMI or equivalent work experience required.
