We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trauma Registrar at Norwalk Hospital Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on trauma patients, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information, and providing administrative support to the Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and screen pertinent patient data for trauma registry purposes
- Extract data from patient medical records and enter it into the registry
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of transmitted data
- Prepare routine and statistical reports as requested
- Provide administrative support to the Trauma Center, including preparing correspondence and maintaining data collection standards
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding
- Strong computer skills, including data entry and word processing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate physical demands. The position requires sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
