POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role involves delivering high-quality radiotherapy services to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team for both curative and palliative care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Assurance:
- Administers precise and timely radiotherapy in accordance with the physician's directives and treatment objectives, maintaining professional standards and thorough documentation.
- Ensures all portal images are accurately recorded and assessed during weekly reviews.
Patient Experience:
- Completes all quality assurance tasks and regulatory compliance assignments with accuracy and timeliness, contributing to the overall patient experience.
Resource Management:
- Conducts accurate simulations with appropriate positioning techniques, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all relevant data.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Valid Florida State Radiation Therapist License.
- ARRT certification or eligibility as a Radiation Therapist.
- Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card is mandatory prior to commencement.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Demonstrates organizational skills to enhance quality and service delivery.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to engage in walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Capable of moving, lifting, or positioning patients as necessary.
- Ability to assist wheelchair or stretcher-bound patients.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination are essential for technical and clinical tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted multiple times daily.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Capability to respond to critical situations promptly.
- Skilled in assessing and interpreting data while educating patients and their families.
- Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with colleagues and students.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and responsibilities.
