About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our Justice+Civic team at DLR Group. As a key member of our integrated design team, you will be responsible for developing designs from conception through construction administration, while also contributing to the team's efforts to secure new work through client interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project design efforts, including creating and implementing design vision and direction for design concepts.
  • Collaborate with design team members to instill thought-leadership throughout all phases of the design process.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of research underpinning evidence-based design solutions, adding value beyond traditional FF&E support.
  • Bring regionally and/or nationally recognized industry expertise, continually growing expertise and skill sets.
  • Contribute to the development of Construction Documents and specifications, as well as direct and contribute to the development of Furniture packages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
  • NCIDQ Certification.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Public-sector and/or Government design industry with a keen understanding of market sector standards and best practices.
  • Proficient in the use of computer modeling and rendering software.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry involvement in relevant market sector organizations.
