Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee specific design projects ensuring adherence to customer specifications and achieving 100% on-time delivery.
  • Conduct advanced engineering calculations for product design evaluation, servo motor sizing, and production/process optimization.
  • Engage in design review meetings to refine and finalize designs collaboratively.
  • Guarantee that customer approval drawings are meticulously prepared, verified, and submitted in accordance with project timelines.
  • Issue drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and necessary documentation to production teams to align with schedule demands.
  • Collaborate with procurement and suppliers regarding component specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing/Service departments to address design-related challenges and enhancements.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts, resolve manufacturing/design challenges, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams to integrate cutting-edge technology while meeting mechanical design criteria.
  • Assist sales teams by preparing preliminary designs, calculations, and documentation for proposals.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers to foster their professional growth.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in machine design, particularly with large capital equipment or automation systems.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of servo motor sizing principles.
  • Solid understanding of material mechanics and stress analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and mechanical frameworks.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective time management skills.
Educational Background and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on machine design.
