About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Gilbane Building Company. As a key member of our project team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior project engineers and project managers to coordinate and distribute project information.
  • Work with the project team to ensure all contract document logs are up to date in real-time.
  • Prepare and present status reports on RFIs, submittals, and other documents.
  • Develop effective scopes of work for bid packages.
  • Issue request for quotations and follow up with trade contractors.
  • Update project schedules using CPM techniques.
  • Document field quality activities.
  • Prepare change management reports, estimates, and other cost report documents.
  • Maintain project quality files and documentation systems.
  • Promote organizational change initiatives and suggest new ideas.
  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 2+ years of experience with a large trade contractor, construction management, or general contractor organization.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
