Assistant Professor or Higher Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor or Higher to join our Neurology Department at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. The successful candidate will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service, with a focus on providing exceptional clinical care to patients with general adult neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services, including neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic.
- Offer consultation services in the affiliated hospitals, providing direct patient care and consultative services to other medical professionals.
- Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, interpreting diagnostic tests such as EEGs/EMGs and treating a variety of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders.
- Supervise resident clinics and participate in the overall teaching program for the training of residents and medical students, including the presentation of lectures.
- Engage in the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
- Serve the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work.
- Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program.
- Texas Medical License, or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology from an accredited program in the United States.
- Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for associate professor or higher level.
- Certification and/or experience in Neuromuscular Medicine/Clinical Neurophysiology.
- Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
This position is located at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, with a work schedule of 8-5 M to F, and by consult/call schedule.
