Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will perform a variety of tasks under close supervision, following detailed work instructions that require limited judgment and decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, feeder maintenance, repair, and data tracking.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct feeder maintenance, repair, and data tracking to ensure accurate records and optimal equipment performance.
- Train employees in the operation and maintenance of machinery to ensure a high level of proficiency and safety.
- May train and coordinate activities of maintenance assistants.
- Provide assistance in troubleshooting non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- May be required to work overtime to meet production demands.
- Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Able to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Use of basic and special-purpose hand tools and leveling instruments, knowledge of torque specifications, basic mathematics, understanding of electronic color codes, and other component value markings.
- Understanding of safety practices requirements and personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail).
- Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs.
- Associates degree in electronics with an emphasis in servo positioning theory or equivalent discipline.
- Prior experience as a maintenance assistant may be substituted.
- Zero to two (2) years of work-related experience required, preferably in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
