Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SUD/IOP Counselor to join our team at BHP of Central Ohio. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide a full range of therapeutic counseling and intervention services to youth and adults who present with psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling, assessment, and diagnosis to clients with SUD and dual diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, community partners, and other service providers to ensure coordination of services and promote collaboration.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a Solution Focused Therapy approach and Evidenced-Based Practice treatment modalities.
  • Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment recommendations, and consider clients' physical health needs in conjunction with behavioral health issues.
  • May provide telehealth services and participate in clinical records review.
  • Participate in treatment planning with family, other treatment providers, and community partners to establish a transition plan for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of duty-to-warn and duty-to-protect regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Counseling with one to three years of therapy experience working with SMD populations.
  • Independent licensure preferred, with Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) preferred.
  • Basic computer, phone, and typing skills are necessary for all positions.
