Job Summary

The Second Chance DUI Facilitator I provides face-to-face and/or telehealth individual and group counseling and education to support participants in completing DUI education services using evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education, group counseling, and one-on-one counseling sessions to clients.
  • Document all client services appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor client progress and attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Registered SUD Counselor with an accredited institution.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of DMV reporting and CA Title IX regulation.
  • Proof of enrollment and/or work towards fulfillment of the minimum 315 hours of education required to become a Certified SUD Counselor.
  • Ability to work independently using sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using trauma-informed care practices and high levels of professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Zoom Inc web-based services.
  • Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders and implementation of evidence-based treatments and harm reduction principles within the specified scope of practice.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines in accordance with agency and county policies and standards.
