SUD Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SUD Counselor to join our team at BHP of Central Ohio. As a SUD Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic counseling and intervention to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of substance use disorders and be able to provide individual, group, and family counseling services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients with substance use disorders
• Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment recommendations
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure coordination of services and promote collaboration and coordination of services
• Participate in treatment planning with family, other treatment providers, and community partners to establish a transition plan for clients
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed
• Complete BHP required documentation and maintain clinical records in accordance with Quality Improvement standards
• Participate in individual, group supervision, and clinical team meetings to evaluate client progress and update treatment recommendations

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Independent licensure preferred
• Minimum of one to three years of therapy experience working with SMD population
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with other service providers
