About the Role:

The Community Outreach Program Manager will work in a hybrid setting, requiring presence in the field, home office, and virtual classroom environments. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives and staff from multiple organizations, labor unions, vendors, and training providers to identify and assess potential training opportunities that drive performance and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide career coaching, education, and case management services to a diverse caseload of students with varying barriers to secure successful outcomes.
  • Screen applicants for basic eligibility, collect relevant data, and analyze results to inform program development.
  • Support Virtual Classrooms by providing assistance to instructors and students, ensuring seamless learning experiences.
  • Create and lead meetings to promote CCA/Education Fund programs and services to diverse audiences.
  • Promote marketing and communications efforts to drive student engagement with program offerings.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with Local Workforce Development Boards, fostering collaboration between employers, cities, and states.
  • Collaborate with directors to identify vendor partners and support contract processes as needed.
  • Participate in communication strategies to recruit and promote CCA/Education Fund programs and services by attending events, staff huddles, and department meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student and stakeholder files in CCA/Education Fund and other Funder systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and coordination skills are essential.
  • Excellent prioritization, time management, and organizational skills ensure efficient workflow.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly persuasion, to convey available benefits effectively.
  • A professional demeanor, creating rapport with various stakeholders, is necessary.
  • A valid California driver's license, use of a vehicle, and maintained car insurance are required.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Zoom, Blackboard Learn, LMS, and other relevant software are expected.
  • Knowledge of Labor Market trends, both regionally and with employers, is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in sales or a union and labor-management partnership is preferred.
  • Physical endurance to travel between locations and be on one's feet for extended periods is essential.
  • A high level of diplomacy is required.
