The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, providing incontinence care, and transporting them to appointments and activities. The ideal candidate will have a caring and patient demeanor, with a strong commitment to respecting residents' independence and dignity. The position requires a 1-year experience working as a caregiver, resident aide, or PCA, and the ability to work 3 days a week, with every other weekend and holiday. The pay for this position is $15.50 per hour, with a $1 shift differential for shifts beginning at 3p & 11p. The company offers a fantastic benefit package, including 401(k) with a 5% guaranteed match and company-paid life insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO).   • Assists residents with dental care, bathing, and nail care.
  • Assists residents with dressing/undressing as necessary.
  • Maintains bedding and puts extra covers in beds as requested.
  • Provides incontinence care as needed throughout the day and night.
  • Assists in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social functions, chapel, meals, etc.
  • Assists with transferring, moving, positioning residents into and out of beds, chairs, showers, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Assists residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
  • Documents daily log of assistance.
  • Respects and encourages the independence and dignity of the residents.
  • Respects residents' confidentiality.
  • Ensures that the nurse is notified in a timely manner of changes in resident condition, family and/or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.
  • Responds promptly to pendant alarms during scheduled hours. Reports malfunctioning batteries immediately.
