Position Overview:
As a Performance Engineer at Integrated Resources, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of our backend messaging platform. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting performance and scalability assessments to ensure optimal system functionality.

Contract Duration:
1 Year Contract

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive performance and scalability testing on our backend messaging infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and development architects to establish high-level benchmarks.
  • Develop micro-benchmarks to identify performance bottlenecks and validate performance improvements.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of clusters comprising hundreds of nodes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in both the creation and measurement of benchmarks, as well as modeling system behavior under load.
  • Strong understanding of Java performance aspects, including garbage collection, heap dump analysis, tuning, caching, throttling, and profiling.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and experimental design methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of Hadoop, Oracle, and SQL.
  • In-depth understanding of web services standards and technologies (XML, SOAP, REST).
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Experience in system monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working in both Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments regarding tools and systems administration.
  • Proven experience in addressing challenges related to load, scale, and optimization of complex large-scale deployments.
  • Experience with Silk Performer tool and Java is a plus.
  • Adept at identifying root causes of performance bottlenecks.

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
