Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintenance are conducted in compliance with the relevant aircraft maintenance manuals, company protocols, and the Repair Station manual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preflight and post-flight inspections
  • Address and rectify discrepancies
  • Safely operate in a workshop environment utilizing necessary tools and equipment
  • Perform tasks outdoors and in adverse weather conditions as required
  • Ensure that all work is inspected by qualified personnel
  • Complete necessary documentation for all tasks performed
  • Inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair aircraft and/or engines as directed
  • Participate in required training sessions
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
  • Utilize basic computer skills for task documentation
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Uphold integrity and strive for high-quality standards
  • Report any failures or deficiencies immediately
  • Pass background checks and random drug screenings
  • Be available for overtime and weekend shifts as needed

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Airframe or Powerplant certification (both preferred)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of experience with B-727 and B-737 aircraft preferred
  • Diverse experience in the maintenance of large fixed-wing aircraft

Work Environment & Cultural Competencies:

  • Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening and background checks
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English is essential
  • Candidate should be motivated, resourceful, energetic, and organized
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility are crucial
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ethical and trustworthy handling of sensitive information

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
  • Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) is necessary
  • Ability to climb and use ladders, work stands, platforms, and lifting equipment
  • Work may be performed in confined spaces

Shift Requirements:

  • Two weeks on, two weeks off schedule
  • Must be available for full-time work and overtime as required

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
