Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Visual Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our High Fidelity Simulation Business Area, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing large-scale System of Systems solutions in support of world-class simulation, training, and analysis products for the US Navy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems, including submarine periscope simulations, submarine bridge simulations, and ship weapons simulations.
  • Assist in formulating the technical direction for visual simulations and contribute to US naval training visualizations.
  • Collaborate with a high-powered, collegial, and ethical team to develop cutting-edge visual simulations.
  • Work with state-of-the-art technology, including Unreal graphics engine and various software packages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience developing graphics applications, primarily in C++.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL, GLSL, or Vulkan, and experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with development in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Knowledge of graphics hardware and GPU internals.
  • Experience with developing for Virtual Reality headsets.
