At South College, we're dedicated to empowering students to achieve their dreams. As a Clinical Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical sites and preceptors.
  • Travel throughout Western North Carolina to recruit sites and conduct site visits.
  • Coordinate student placements at various clinical sites.
  • Advise students and preceptors on clinical rotation schedules, requirements, and expectations.
  • Monitor student progress during clinical rotations and address any issues that arise.
  • Provide feedback to students and preceptors.
  • Ensure clinical education meets federal, state, and PA accreditation standards.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of Clinical curriculum.
  • Instruction in clinical and didactic phases of the program.
  • Assess student performance during clinical rotations, end of rotation, and clinical summative activities and testing.
  • Maintain and review scheduling of Exxat logs.
  • Assist Director of Clinical Education in document preparation for accreditation reviews.
  • Plan scholarship and service activities to assist the program's compliance outcomes.
  • Participate in student advising, student admissions, and committees as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Master's in physician assistant studies or health-related field.
  • Eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
  • At least 3 years or more of teaching or clinical experience.
