Join Our Team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Therapy 2000, a leading provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in North Houston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations to determine patients' needs for therapy.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders, utilizing clinical judgment and expertise.
  • Collaborate with patients' caregivers to develop home exercise programs, promoting seamless care coordination.
  • Act as a vital member of patients' medical neighborhoods, working closely with various providers and disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Meet deadlines for patient chart updates, progress summaries, and other paperwork requirements.
  • Participate in regular meetings with agency personnel to maintain understanding of expectations and standards for delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures, adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and codes of ethics.
Requirements:
  • A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
  • An innovative spirit, complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability and adaptability.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities and resources as needed, based on the needs of the business.
  • Proficiency in using common workplace technology, including laptop computers, phones, email, and web browsers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in a home health setting, with a focus on pediatric care.
  • Certifications or experience in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties, such as high-risk infant care.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
