Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a Senior Attorney, you will be responsible for providing top-notch legal support to our attorneys, contributing to the growth and development of our practice, and ensuring the highest level of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full case load of pre-litigation and active litigation files, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for meetings, depositions, and negotiations, providing valuable insights and strategic advice to achieve optimal results.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to advise clients on the merits of their claims and those asserted against them, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Negotiate with clients, opposing counsel, and other interested parties to resolve legal disputes and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and strategy, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to junior attorneys, contributing to their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
  • 4+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on civil litigation (insurance defense a plus).
  • Proficiency in legal research software, including Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw, and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
  • Experience in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A strong understanding of legal procedures and the ability to apply them in a variety of contexts.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
