Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large and growing legal staff, applying a strong understanding of applicable legal policies and federal and state regulatory issues, and communicating with clients regarding current legal and regulatory issues and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a large and growing legal staff in the creditor's right and related areas of law.
  • Apply a strong understanding of applicable legal policies as well as federal and state regulatory issues.
  • Communicate with clients regarding current legal and regulatory issues and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and adherence to court procedures and processes.
  • Work on special projects as required by the firm and clients.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in CA.
  • Complete knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles, practices and methods of creditor's rights and the legal process.
  • Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the debt buying and debt collection industries including FDCPA, FCRA, GLBA and related state statutes.
  • Technologically adept, with familiarity with software including Cogent or similar systems a plus.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team of attorneys and staff to develop strategies for a case.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Limited travel for court appearances and industry meetings.

Work Schedule
