The Senior Project Architect will spearhead the project team, collaborating closely with the Partner and Construction Executive to ensure the successful and efficient execution of projects from initial programming through to project closeout, all while maintaining exceptional client relations.

Exceptional client relations are achieved through a thorough understanding and a proven track record in managing multiple project budgets, scopes, schedules, and effectively staffing project teams.

A creative and adaptable mindset is also crucial for addressing challenges that may arise during both the design and construction phases.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Review and coordinate floor plan backgrounds to establish accurate structural gridlines and callouts, collaborating with the structural engineer.

  • Oversee the redlining and coordination of reflected ceiling plans for the production team.
  • Manage the redlining of floor plans to determine necessary building sections for production staff.
  • Direct the redlining of building sections and floor plans to establish detailed wall sections, ensuring production staff accurately block out these sections.

  • Guide the redlining of floor plans to determine specific floor plan details for production staff to execute.
  • Ensure the redlining of floor plans to identify appropriate partition types, verifying materials against district standards.

  • Supervise the redlining of casework plans and elevations, ensuring production staff implement these changes.
  • Oversee the redlining of door and window types, ensuring production staff adhere to these specifications.

  • Manage the redlining of schedules for production staff, ensuring all modifications are accurately reflected.
  • Review and redline all floor plan dimensions, assigning tasks to intern production staff.
  • Assign shop drawing reviews to the appropriate production or intern staff, ensuring all returned shop drawings are reviewed and distributed accordingly.

  • Coordinate clash detection processes.
  • Oversee the redlining of roof plans.
  • Design special architectural elements, such as main entries.
  • Ensure the completion of redlines and conduct reviews with production staff.

  • Organize team meetings to review established cartoon sets and assign responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and attend weekly meetings with the production team and all consultants, generating a task list for the upcoming week.

  • Coordinate and attend review meetings with the specifications department at various stages of printing.
  • Collaborate with MEP teams to ensure appropriate spaces are allocated and backgrounds are redlined for production staff.
  • Work with foodservice teams to ensure space requirements are met and backgrounds are redlined for production staff.

  • Generate documentation for code reviews.
  • Coordinate jurisdictional meetings and submissions.
  • Facilitate owner coordination meetings.
  • Verify or initial all 'checked by' boxes on all sheets.
  • Align specifications with the Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Architect license.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
  • Architecture License is mandatory.
  • 5+ years of professional experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.


The offered base salary for positions in California will vary based on individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
