Position Summary

The Gaming Compliance Auditor plays a crucial role in evaluating gaming operations and documentation to ensure precise reporting of gaming revenue and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine jackpot documentation and associated records for accurate reporting and tax compliance. Identify and document any discrepancies in internal controls and state regulations.
  • Conduct daily audits of slot machine meters.
  • Assess and verify slot machine data within the accounting system.
  • Review and reconcile all daily sportsbook data and associated paperwork.
  • Perform audits on daily documentation and generate reconciliations. Investigate, reconcile, and address discrepancies for NRT Machines.
  • Audit fills, credits, and markers for Table Games. Record any instances of non-compliance with internal controls and state regulations.
  • Compile the Master Game Report following the audit of all table game documentation.
  • Review cage documentation and related records. Note any non-compliance instances with internal controls and state regulations.
  • Record meter readings for Slot and Table Games accurately.
  • Timely document daily audit totals.
  • Create daily, weekly, and month-end reports. Address management inquiries for standard departmental reports.
  • Organize and file all documents and reports systematically. Ensure that the correct documents are stored in designated filing areas.
  • Execute assigned tasks as required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors such as secondhand smoke, high noise levels, and bustling kitchen settings.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations while serving clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and twist throughout the entire shift. Capable of moving throughout various areas of the casino/hotel.
  • Operational seven days a week with rotating days off. Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours on-site is required.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience in casino accounting.
  • Minimum one year of accounting experience; six months of practical bookkeeping and/or auditing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and other relevant software applications. Willingness to learn necessary job skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
