Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Intake Worker to join our team at the Bowery Residents Committee. As a Community Intake Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness by providing a safe and welcoming environment for intake and orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct intakes and orientations for new and readmitted clients
Screen clients for diversions and input demographic information into our internal database
Serve as a liaison between social services and operations
Schedule and track client assessments, medical, and psychological evaluations
Escort clients and assist with daily living activities
Provide emergency first aid and CPR assistance as needed
Requirements
High School diploma or GED required
CPR certification or ability to obtain certification
NYC Fire Safety Guard Certification or ability to obtain certification
NYC Fire Safety Coordinator Certification preferred
Security guard license preferred
Food Handler Certificate preferred
TB clearance when required
