We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. As a PCU RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients who require close monitoring and intermediate-level nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, evaluating symptoms, and collecting relevant patient data.
  2. Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  3. Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosages and safe administration practices.
  5. Provide patient and family education regarding their conditions, treatments, and necessary lifestyle adjustments.
  6. Maintain clear and open communication with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to ensure effective coordination of care.
  7. Accurately document all patient information, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
  8. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean patient environment, promoting a culture of safety among patients and staff.
  9. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  10. Stay current with the latest advances in nursing practice and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care or similar nursing role.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
